The Aces wanted a fresh, cohesive look which promoted the primary calls to action for their website: selling tickets and increasing sales of online store items. GeoNorth provided a Drupal CMS solution that delivered on both accounts. In order to reduce the need for manual content maintenance, GeoNorth created a custom PHP module for Drupal that automatically displayed live statistics on the Aces website, directly from the ECHL league. Leveraging Drupal's theming capabilities, GeoNorth was able to customize the look and feel of contributed online store module to meet the specific needs of the client.
As a newly-opened, South Anchorage restaurant and alehouse, Firetap needed a low cost, yet effective site. The Firetap management wanted to be able to manage the content themselves so they could keep it fresh without additional assistance from the software developer. GeoNorth was able to utilize Drupal to provide them what they needed, quickly, and efficiently. Some of the functionality provided includes online menus, photo gallery, audio and video clips for upcoming entertainment, use of GoogleMaps to display Firetap’s location and provide driving directions, and integration with Facebook and other social networks.
Sitnasuak Native Corporation (SNC) called upon GeoNorth to takeover a previous website project that was stalled due to vendor unresponsiveness and had failed to meet the client’s goals. By implementing a Drupal solution, GeoNorth was able to utilize a variety of contributed modules and custom content types to deliver an attractive and efficient solution for the clients needs. One particular challenge was the need to transfer several complex forms into an online format that could be integrated with the overall website design. This was successfully completed by integrating a number of readily available modules, without the need for custom programming.
This client called upon GeoNorth less than two weeks before they needed to rollout a completely redesigned website to the general public, to coincide with a major new development in their business. The primary challenge here was the incredibly aggressive schedule. By leveraging the power of Drupal, GeoNorth was able to deliver a feature-packed website, ahead of the deadline. The client was favorably impressed with the clean and attractive interface delivered on time and under the original budget.
Trevor Jones, an active duty Army Staff Sergeant, is attempting to reach the summits of the tallest peaks on each of the seven continents to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project. After reading about his quest and his successful summit of Denali, GeoNorth felt compelled to assist this Fort Richardson soldier by building a state of the art website to get his message out. Purposes of this site include chronicling his journey, raising funds to support it, and raising funds for the Wounded Warrior Project. GeoNorth was able to utilize the Drupal CMS to satisfy all of these. The need to provide maps to plot the locations of each summit was met by incorporating a popular Drupal module to access the Google Maps API.
This client needed a new site redesign reflecting a fresh, clean look and feel. Over time the old site was not as productive as ownership demanded and the organization wanted a redesign to assume the role of a more productive marketing tool and contributing component to their overall marketing plan and strategic growth efforts than it had been in the past. With the implementation of a redesign, while utilizing the Drupal CMS technology, the client now has the marketing tool it needed, and a site which can be easily maintained in house by their administrative staff, thus eliminating the burden of ongoing website consulting fees.
The client was looking to improve the visual appeal of their website and to reduce the cost and complexity of maintaining and enhancing it and their donor and contacts information. GeoNorth was able to use Drupal and the popular CiviCRM module to migrate what had previously been two websites, an Excel spreadsheet, an Access database, and a commercially provided email marketing tool into a single integrated website for managing all contacts, donations, events and communications with the public, the media, government officials, and sponsors.
The Alaska Fisher House is an Alaskan-based non-profit organization created to assist military service members as they are returned to civilian life after serving overseas, and their families who themselves have adjustment needs. The client needed a look and feel which conveyed a warm, compassionate atmosphere, yet had the business functionality, such as the ability to accept donations and track volunteer involvement, necessary to run a non-profit organization successfully. Currently implementing a Drupal Content Management System, GeoNorth takes great pride in assisting an organization such as this with their development needs.
This website is another example of how quickly a simple, yet visually appealing and functional site can be developed and deployed using the Drupal CMS. GeoNorth was able to create this site in less than a day by reusing the theme (with minor modifications) from client’s existing site, All Dream Properties.
The client wanted to leverage an existing, third party Multiple Listing Service (MLS) search tool into a new website that also included listings outside of MLS. Not having fine control over the look and feel of the third party tool, GeoNorth was still able to integrate it well within an attractive, custom-designed Drupal theme and create a consistent and seamless user experience whether looking at third party MLS listings or private listings.
The Terra GCI website was created to provide project updates, news, and announcements regarding the efforts of United Utilities Incorporated (UUI) to build a next generation communications network throughout Southwest Alaska. Being a professional medical firm, the Alaska Digestive and Liver Disease Clinic needed a website that projected the characteristics a medical practice would typically strive for; professionalism, integrity, compassion, and trust. Taking into consideration these specific client needs, GeoNorth was able to construct an elegant, high quality, highly functional website portraying exactly those images, while at the same time being very easy to use by the practice’s patients. The site offers patients an informative resource for gastroenterological disorders, up to date Public Service Announcements (PSA), news about medical breakthroughs, and interactive methods of procedure preparations and appointment scheduling.
The medical community operates in such a way as to give their patients their undivided attention, not the practice’s website. GeoNorth needed to be cognizant of this fact when evaluating how to construct this site. Thus, they chose to build the Alaska GI website with a Drupal Content Management System supporting it from the back end. The Drupal solutions GeoNorth incorporate into their client sites provide them with an easy to manage website solution. In this case, it allowed Drs. Boisen and McClendon, and their professional staff, to focus on their patients, while at the same time providing them with a valuable marketing tool for their practice.
"Right from the start, the website design and development team at GeoNorth impressed me with their expertise and professionalism. They were responsive to our needs and guided me through the development process in order to create a clean, relevant, and professional website that allows me to update and modify in the future as our needs change. They have given us a marketing tool that will truly benefit our practice, our patients, and our referring healthcare providers."
